Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)  Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with the offense of criminal intimidation. The section states that whoever commits this offense, or threatens someone with injury to their body, reputation, or property with the intention of causing fear or compelling the person to do something against their will, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term that may extend up to two years, or with fine, or with both.
